Charlie O's: Where Everybody Knows Your Name

If Cheer's was considered the bar in Boston where "everybody knows your name" then Charlie O's is the Cheer's of Narragansett. Located off of Route 108 on 2 Sand Hill Cove Road, the tavern offers a variety of delicious American food perfect for a quick grab to eat for lunch or a nice sit down dinner with friends and family. There is something for everyone; a wonderful selection of fresh seafood, satisifying sandwiches, old fashion clam chowda with non greasy clam cakes, tasty pasta dishes and juicy steaks. No matter what you order you will not be dissapointed.

The tavern has over ten flat scrren HD televisions and a big screen television perfect for watching any of your favorite sports games. While watching the game, challenge one of your friends to a game of pool at one of their three pool tables that are in excellent condition. A juke box is also available which has an on-line searching device that allows customers to find ANY song they would like. Needless to say, there are quite a few sing-a-longs that take place later on in the night.

Charlie O's also has drink special throughout the week. From Monday-Friday $5 pitchers for Budweiser, Budweiser Lite, and Miller Lite are available after 10 PM. On Sundays after 10 PM they offer $5 pitchers of Sangria, your choice of red or white wine. They also have well-mixed-drinks at a daily price of $4.50 and a variety of bottled beers for $3.50. Charlie O's also offers a number of beers on tap such as Harpoon, Sam Adams, and Blue Moon. With drink specials like these, it is a good thing that the kitchen is open until midnight to provide customers with late night delicious food to munch on.

With all this to offer, no wonder Charlie O's is a popular hang out for URI students. Charlie O's is the place to be for this college crowd from Thursday-Saturday. Warning: if crowds are not your thing, I would recommend going on a slower day such as a Tuesday or Wednesday. Regardless of what day you decide to hang out at the tavern, you will most likely run into someone you know.

The one thing that makes Charlie O's stand out from other bars in the Narragansett area is the service. The waitresses are always in a good mood, even on a crowded Saturday night and the bartenders, are the best in the town. They always recommend the best drinks to try, are quick to serve, and always give a free birthday shot to the birthday boy or girl. Why? Because they love to see their customers happy and satisfied.

Perhaps the reason why the service is so good is because on any given night you will always see one of the owners there. Simon and Richard take pride in their restaurant and it shows. They mingle with the crowd, cater to the needs of their customers, and make sure eveyrthing runs smoothly.

With that note, grab a bunch of friends, and head on down to Charlie O's for an delicious dining experience with exceptional service.
